Lena Freels Obituary

Lena M. Freels, 85, of Newburgh died at 6:50p.m. Wednesday at Woodlands Convalescent Center.
She retired in 1978 as an administrative assistant for the Socia Security Administration. l

She was a member of Newburgh. Methodist Church, The Rose Society, American Association of Retired Persons, Volunteer Group of St. Mary’s Medical Center, Hospitality House and St. Elizabeth Seton-Warrick County Hospital.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Rosengrant of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Minnie Hartke of Newburgh; a brother, John Lane of Morgantown, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Jessica Rosengrant.

Her husband, John, died in 1971.

Services will be at 9:30 am. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home 5330 Washington Ave., the Rev. David Lee officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
