Lillie W. (Rainey) Martin

Lillie W. (Rainey) Martin, age 78, of Evansville, IN, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Golden Living Woodlands of Newburgh.

Lillie was born October 28, 1941, in Bowling Green, KY, to Andrew W. Rainey and Irene F. (Dowell) Rainey. She attended Bosse High School. Lillie worked in the restaurant industry for many years. She enjoyed working at Morrison’s Cafeteria and later retired as a salad maker from St. Joe Inn in 2003. She was a past member of American Legion Post on New Harmony Rd.

Lillie is survived by her daughters, Lisa Warren (Shauna) and Penny Gill; brother, Tommy Rainey; grandchildren, Josh Ingram (Lindsey), Joseph Gross III, and Kaylyn Martin; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Gross, Joseph Gross IV, Adalin Hogan, Jaxson Gross, Lillie Ingram and many nieces and nephews.

Lillie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband for 30+ years, Harold Martin; brother, William Rainey; sister Georgia “Ann” Admire.

Private Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2020 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
