Linda Collins Obituary

Linda Lee (Parmenter) Collins, age 74, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at home.

Linda was born May 11, 1948, in Princeton, IN, to James H. and Betty Lou (Miller) Parmenter. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1966 and went on to earn her Nursing Degree at the Deaconess School of Nursing. Linda worked as a Registered Nurse for 43 years with Deaconess Surgical Center and St. Vincent Surgicare before retiring. She loved the outdoors, collecting wind chimes, digging in the dirt, planting flowers, working in her greenhouse, and playing with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Amelia Horne (Troy) of Evansville, IN; sister, Judy Parmenter of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jason Horne, Amyah Horne, and Taylor Horne; best neighbors and friends, Sam Storey and Margaret Stogsdill Storey; and dog, Bella.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Lou Parmenter; and dog, Cedes.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be Private.
