Linda South Tatum, age 71, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Linda was born October 31, 1953, in Evansville, IN, to the late Duncan Cooke, Sr. and Marge Stoll. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1971. Linda lived life to the fullest and was the glue that kept the family together. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends. She was always welcoming and warm and never met a stranger. When Linda walked in the room she always lit it up. She will forever be remembered for her selfless acts of love with everyone she met and will be deeply missed not by just her human friends but her four legged ones, too.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Rodney Tatum; daughter, Nikki Hester (Geno); grandchildren, Savanah Elkin, Seth Cox, and Sloan Cox; great grandchildren, Brylee and Casen; siblings, Rancene Cooke, Dee Laffey, Susie Steckler, and Jeff Steckler; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be private.
Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
