Lloyd C. Ferguson, 97. passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Polk County, Florida. Born in 1928, Lloyd was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served two years with the Seabees, embodying a lifetime of hard work, dedication, and service.
Lloyd was a member of the Eureka Masonic Lodge, alongside his beloved wife of 64 years, Wilma Jean (Ruark) Ferguson. He was a member of Richland Christian Church in Spencer County, Indiana. Lloyd and Jean raised two children, Linda and Gary (Cindy), of whom they loved dearly. Their family grew to include four grandchildren – Darrin Eaton, Ryan Eaton, Ashlee Follis, and Grant Ferguson; thirteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Lloyd worked for 37 years as a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 20, spending the majority of his career at George Koch Sons in Evansville, Indiana. After retiring, he and Jean enjoyed many happy years wintering in Central Florida, where they built a cherished circle of friends. Together, they loved visiting Disney, dining out, and spending evenings playing cards.
In his later years, Lloyd married Claudia Moffett, and the two made their home in Davenport, Florida, where they shared companionship and comfort until his passing. Lloyd's life was marked by devotion – to his country, his family, and friends.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
