Lloyd Andrew “Andy” Short, age 64, of Newburgh, IN, went home to be with the Lord at 7:03 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family.
Andy was born May 15, 1957, in Ardmore, OK, to Bobby and Glenda (Johnson) Short. He graduated from Harrison County High School in Cynthiana, KY, in 1975 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1979. Andy was an active member of Crossroads Christian Church. He loved the Lord and strived to live the Gospel every day. Andy worked as an engineer for Peabody Energy for 36 years.
He was an avid UK fan, and he enjoyed the outdoors. Andy especially loved spending time with family and friends. Nothing was more important to him on this earth than his family.
Andy is survived by his parents, Bobby and Glenda Short of Cynthiana, KY; beloved wife of 43 years, Darlene (Owen) Short of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Allison Silletto of Newburgh, IN; son, Evan Short (Yahira) of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Barry Short (Martha) of Cynthiana, KY; and grandchildren, Owen Silletto and Ada Silletto.
Andy is preceded in death by his brother, Bradford Short.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2021, at Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Lincoln Avenue, Newburgh, with Pastor Phil Heller officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
