Lonnie Maidlow, age 79, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:48 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
Lonnie was born on November 15, 1938, in Darmstadt, IN, to the late Ralph and Mary Ann (Kiesel) Maidlow. He graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1956 and joined the National Guard before working as a salesman for Complete Lumber. Lonnie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching horse races.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilyn (Weber) Maidlow; sister-in-laws, Katie Magee and Barbara Fink, both of Henderson, KY; nieces, Renea Kruse and Kim Wangler (Shawn); great-nieces, Samantha Prindle (Clay); great-nephews, Nick Wangler and Will Wangler; great-great niece, Roselle Prindle; and fur babies, Lady, Babe, FiFi, Smokee, Jack, Chloe, and Rachel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Kruse.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, August 27, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S Green River Road, Evansville with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2018, followed by a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel and from 8:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, August 27, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
