Lucendia K. "Cindy" (Sturdivant) Brack

Lucendia K. “Cindy” (Sturdivant) Brack, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Deaconess Hospital Gateway, in Newburgh.

Cindy was born April 6, 1944, in Evansville, IN, to Jesse and Mary (McKinney) Sturdivant. She was a 1962 graduate of Central High School. Cindy and her husband, Alan were married in December 1967. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, gardening and spending time with her family. Cindy loved sewing and was an avid member of several sewing clubs. She was a member of the White Shrine and the FOP Ladies Auxiliary. Cindy also loved animals, especially her cat, Toby.  

Cindy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alan; daughters, Julie Hammack (Chad) of Newburgh and Stacey Salzman (Doug) of Newburgh; brothers, Larry Sturdivant (Patty) of Newburgh and Joe Sturdivant of Evansville; grandchildren, Justin Webb of Evansville, Maddison Salzman of Newburgh and Caitlyn Hammack of Evansville.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Sturdivant.

Private Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Park, 1800 St George Rd, Evansville, IN, with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. 

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.
