Margaret Ann (Finley) Hammond

Margaret Ann (Finley) Hammond, age 89, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Ann was born September 22, 1934, in Cadiz, KY, to Andrew Clayton Finley and Sara Marie (Guier) Finley. She graduated from Trigg County High School in 1952 and was of the Protestant Faith. Ann grew up in Cadiz, and after marrying Marshall, they moved to Evansville in the early 50s. She was a social butterfly; she enjoyed traveling and visiting with friends. She was a League Bowler for many years, and she enjoyed crafts and canning.

Ann is survived by her son, John Hammond (Melinda); daughter, Jann Hammond (Rick); and grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, and Allie.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Marie Finley; loving husband of 62 years, Marshall Wallace Hammond, who passed away in 2014; and brother, Bill Finley.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Dr. Todd Giles officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. CST, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at East End Cemetery, Cadiz, KY.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time CST, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
