Margie (Dues) Pfingston

Margie (Dues) Pfingston, age 93, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:55 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Margie was born October 20, 1926, in Evansville, IN, to William “Jackson” and Mrytle (Renschler) Dues. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church for over 50 years. Margie loved the Lord and her favorite phrase was “God bless you.” She owned and operated Margie’s Beauty Shop for over 50 years until she retired in 2010. She especially loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed sewing, listening to music, watching cowboys movies, and going to her cabin on Kentucky Lake.

Margie is survived by her children, Jerry Pfingston (Margie); Barbara O’Brien (Pat), Vickey Casey (Ray); grandchildren, Judy Lamborn (Curt), Christy Harris (John), Michelle Schutt (Randy), Jerry Pfingston, Jr. (Tricia), Brian Scarbrough, Melinda Miller, Tony Pfingston, Jr., Barbie Meier, Shana Juncker (Jim), Lisa O’Brien, Josh Pfingston, Matthew Pfingston (Misty); great grandchildren, Jordan Lamborn, Cherish Pope (Eric), Maria Mueller (Bryan), Dakota Pfingston (Anna), Brianna Bratcher (Chris), Shelby Miller, Kera Miller, Alyssa Juncker, Emily Juncker, Daniel Juncker, Faith Juncker, Nicholas Reiter, Rhiannon Reiter, Bo Harris, Seth Harris, Luke Harris, Zaike Conner, Zaine Conner, and Emme Pfingston; and great great grandchildren, Kinsley Conner, Kayden Conner, and Zayley Conner.

Margie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 77 years, Bert E. Pfingston, who passed away in 2019; parents; son, Tony Pfingston, Sr.; and sister, Dorothy Deffendoll.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Bo Harris officiating.
