Marguerite E. (Moore) Kinney

Marguerite E. (Moore) Kinney, age 97, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Paducah, KY, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Evansville Protestant Home.

Marguerite was born September 9, 1922, in Dogwood, KY, to Rudy L. and Gracie (Feezer) Moore. She was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah, KY, where she was active in the Quilting Club. Marguerite worked as a Senior Employment Interviewer for Kentucky Department of Human Resources, now known as Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Employment Services. She was a member of the Lioness Club in Hendron, KY, and she volunteered at the American Red Cross and the National Quilt Museum, both in Paducah, KY.

Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Glenda “Kay” Reed (Edward) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Judith Rudolph and Patricia Holliday, both of Paducah, KY; granddaughter, Melanie Elizabeth Mabry; and step great-granddaughter, Mary Reed.

Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Gracie Moore; beloved husband of 59 years, Robert Glenn Kinney, who passed away in 2000; and sister, Hilda Cooper.

Private Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6965 Old United States Highway 45, Paducah, KY, in their Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Kenny Cooper officiating.
