Marian L. (Beard) Floyd

Marian L. Floyd, age 91 of Evansville, IN, passed away at 10:05p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

Marian was born November 4, 1929 in Evansville, IN, to Elmer and Jessie (Reasor) Beard. She graduated from Central High School in 1948.  She retired from Sears after working for many years. Marian and her husband, Ralph, had traveled all around the world and had been to Hawaii several times. Maui was their­­ favorite island. She also loved, bingo, horseracing and crossword puzzles.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Sandy (John) Mehling of Newburgh, IN; son Gene (Sharon) Floyd of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Tom and Will (Keri) Floyd, Jennifer (Spencer) Dickens; great grandchildren, Hannah and Ava Marrs; step great grandchildren, Preston and Brian Dickens.   

Marian is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph E. Floyd in 2008

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
