Marie V. (Edwards) Penman, 82, of Newburgh, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday at Wslbom Baptist Hospital

She formerly worked in admitting offices at Welborn Baptist Hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Copter and Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois., for Carps Department Store and as a nurse for Dr. Taylor, and operated a government business school with her brother in West Frankfort, Illinois.

She played piano for Trinity Methodist Church in West Frankfort.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Surviving sire a Son; Hugh Ditterline of Newburgh, and nieces and nephews.

Her second husband. Miles John Penman, died in 1972.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home 5330 Washington Are., the Rev. David Lee officiating, with graveside services at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John Cemetery in West Frankfort.
