Marilyn A. (LaGrange) Day

Marilyn A. Day (LaGrange), age 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on July 24, 2026, at Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation in Newburgh.

Marilyn was born on December 7, 1935, in Evansville, Indiana, to Adrian and Edith (Jung) LaGrange. She graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 1953 and went on to attend Lockyear Business College, where she earned her associate degree.

Marilyn was a devoted homemaker who cherished her family. She and her beloved husband, Billye, enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States and abroad, creating countless treasured memories. She had a passion for crocheting, was a devoted fan of the Evansville Aces, and dearly loved her faithful dog, Daisy.

Marilyn was a charter member of New Life Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Kathy David and her husband, Tom, and Brenda Orsburn and her husband, David; her son, Bryan Day and his wife, Janet; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her loving husband of 59 years, Billye Day, who passed away in 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Pastor Jeff Hartford officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
