Marilyn Summers

Marilyn Summers was a kind soul who radiated authenticity. This trait, so very rare in today’s world, is one that drew people to her in a way that she could never fully grasp. The care and genuine concern for those that crossed her path was her currency. However, she never recognized this and that made her all the more special. You see she gave without expecting anything in return. And when folks showered her with love, she was dumbfounded by their actions.

This is the hallmark of a kind soul whose life was filled with tough times in which she rose above and never lost her ability to care for others when she had every right to be jaded. Strength of her spirit was mighty and never dulled by the cruelty of this world. Take it or leave it, she shared her opinions and did so in such a way it endeared people to her.

I, Joy (Fraley) Fulton, her niece, had the pleasure of building beautiful memories throughout my life with this special lady for whom I called Aunt Murray.

We had a unique understanding of each other and in her later years, I had the distinct pleasure of functioning as her health care advocate and power of attorney. Being able to repay her for her love and kindness shown throughout my life is an experience I would not trade for anything.
