Marvin Robert Baugh, age 83, of Newburgh, IN, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Born on July 25, 1941, in Michigan City, Indiana, Marvin was the son of William and Thelma (Berger) Baugh. He graduated high school in 1959 at Isaac C. Elston High School in Michigan City and earned an associate degree from Valparaiso Technical Institute. Marvin was a member of Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana.
Marvin met his wife, Betty, at Great Lakes Bible College, and they were married in 1962. He spent the majority of his working career designing control panels for large commercial air compressors. Marvin had many interests which resulted in projects such as building speakers, a telescope, a muzzleloader, koi ponds, and a barn. He had a great love for Jesus, which inspired his lifelong study and teaching of the Bible in Sunday School, as well as his service as a deacon, elder, and sound system operator in his local churches.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty (Conrad) Baugh; daughter, Elaine Houseman (Dr. Andrew); son, Robert Conrad Baugh (Jennifer); sister, Beverly Daniels; and grandchildren, Eva Peach, Alec Houseman, and Liam Baugh.
