Mary A. (Burns) Lutz, age 95, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with the Lord at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Golden Living – Woodlands.
Mary was born June 23, 1924, in Blackford, KY, to Albert F. and Elizabeth (Ferrell) Burns. She graduated from Barrett High School in 1942. Mary retired from Chrysler Corporation and Research Systems, Inc. She was a member of Bethel Community Church where she enjoyed singing with Saints Alive. Mary and Charles were the cofounders of The Prayer Garden prayer group. She dearly loved her family, but most of all, she loved her God whom she faithfully served.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Blair of Chandler, IN, and her children, Vicky Montgomery, Jeffrey McClarney, Robin Porter, Scott McClarney (Lynn), and Michael McClarney (Kelly); son, Gary Ashley (Daisy) of Daytona Beach, FL, and his children, Gary Ashley (Wendy), Amanda Ashley, Jennifer Ashley, and Brian Ashley (Kristy); daughter, Terri Crawford (Bruce) of Arizona; Mark Lutz of Evansville, IN; daughter, Becky Allen (Mark) of Haubstadt, IN, and their children, Clayton Allen, Colton Allen, and Cameron Allen (Danielle); 10 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles R. Lutz, who passed away in 2005; son-in-law, Donald Blair; sister, Velda Mae Burns; and brothers, Merkle Burns and Orland Burns.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Kindred Hospice and the staff and nurses at Golden Living – Woodlands for their loving care.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Bret Nicholson and Chaplain Randy Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, October 28, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
