Mary Anne (Wood) Schnepper

Mary Anne Schnepper, age 98, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on January 7, 2026, at the Heritage Center.

Mary Anne was born on January 12, 1927, in Evansville, Indiana, to Francis and Esther (Jarvis) Wood. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1944 and went on to live a life devoted to faith, family, and service.

Mary Anne was a faithful member of Bluegrass Community Church for more than 75 years, where she was actively involved in the Methodist Women’s Group, the NENA Circle, and the Feed My Sheep Ministry. Her quiet dedication and servant’s heart touched countless lives.

She is survived by her son, Mark Schnepper; her grandchildren, Kate Schnepper (Kaden Koba), Julia Ehret (Adam), Keith Schnepper (Tracey), Kurt Schnepper, and Kristie Chinn (David); and her great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Jeff, Cooper, Anna, Jake, Mary, Nora, and Anne.

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 66 years, Edward Leland “Lee” Schnepper; brother, Donald Wood; and her son, Victor Schnepper.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Bluegrass Community Church – Small Chapel, 14240 Petersburg Road, Evansville, IN 47725. Burial will be Private at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at Bluegrass Community Church – Small Chapel.
