Matilda W. Erk, 93, formerly of 211 E. Maryland St., died at 7:02. a.m. Sunday at Deaconess Hospital.
She was a homemaker, a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for more than 40 years, and a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114 Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Zehner of Evansville; a son, Frank Erk of Setauket, N.Y.; six grandchildren; Carolyn Bennett, Charles Zehner, Annette Zehner, Susan Tierney, Stephanie Lustostanski and Lisa Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Charles, died in 1901.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home — East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, IN, 47715, the Rev. Clifford Janssen officiating, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where Veterans of Foreign Wars ost 1114 Auxiliary will conduct memorial services at 6 p.m.
