Matthew Elliott Childs

Matthew Elliott Childs, age 34, formerly of Evansville, IN and Dixon, KY, passed away at 5:08 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Crofton, KY.

Matthew was born September 23, 1983, in Indianapolis to Edwin Childs and Paula (Craddock) Childs.  He attended Webster County High School and received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Southern Indiana.  He was a Financial Analyst and was also very talented in a variety of professional trades.  He loved fishing, hunting, raising Vizsla dogs, traveling, sports, and wintering in Florida.   

Matthew is also survived by Ed’s wife, Stephanie; and was blessed with many close friends and relatives from Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, Washington and Canada.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home in Evansville, 5330 Washington Avenue in Evansville with Pastor Virlin Yoder of Fresh Start Training Center in Washington, IN.          

Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery in Evansville. (3800 N Kratzville Road, Evansville)   

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
