Merrick Davis Barker, age 24, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at home of natural causes.
Merrick was born July 29, 1998, in Evansville, IN, to Robin (Dennison) Redmon and Michael Barker II. He graduated from Harrison High School in 2020. Merrick had an infectious smile and a loving heart. He loved people, music, dancing, chips, beads, balls, books, Surfer’s Healing, and going on vacations.
Merrick is survived by his mother, Robin Redmon (Russell); father, Michael Barker II (Lisa); brother, Jeremiah Hope (Allyce); sisters, Jasmine Kyle (Colton), Briana Redmon, Kimberly Luenebrink, and Jessica Luenebrink; nephews, Myles Hope and Knox Hope; niece, Rhylee Hope; grandparents, Randal and Sandy Dennison; Joan Patterson, and Linda Redmon; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Merrick is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kevin “Crappa” and Sue Swank, Michael and Sally Barker, James Patterson, Richard Redmon, and Norma Carter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Bobby Pell officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2023, and from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
