Michael R. Bonds

Michael R. Bonds, age 59, of Evansville, IN., passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital.

Michael was born November 15, 1961 in West Pamona, California to Terry and Brenda (Brockwell) Bonds. He graduated from Reitz High School. After graduation, Michael went to the University of Evansville where he graduated with his Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Business Management and Psychology. Michael attended the Church of Christ in Henderson. He worked with the Evansville School District as a carpenter and locksmith. Michael loved spending time with his family and most especially playing with his grandkids. He also enjoyed outdoor activities that included motorcycling, golfing, boating and waterskiing. Michael was such a kind soul willing to help anyone in any way possible.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Amy Bonds, of 25 years; father and mother, Terry and Brenda Bonds; daughters, Lindsey Rolley (Brandon), Rachel Price (James), and Ashlynn Racine (Adam); sister, Pamela Wilcox (David); aunts and uncles, Faye Smith, Larry Bonds, Janie Huff, Shirley Bennett and Wanda Brown; nieces and nephews, Chad Wilcox, Amanda Birchler, Adam Nettles, Aubrey Nettles, Alyssa Nettles, Brenna Cameron, Maeve Cameron, Jordan Skelton, Emilynn Sullivan, and Cayden Jones; and grandchildren, Susan Price, JD Price, Aiden Hall, Gage Price, Mackenzie Rolley, Kallie Hall, Adalynn Racine, Mason Rolley, Avery Racine, and Myles Rolley.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Bessie Bonds; and Curtis and Clara Brockwell; and father-in-law, Tom Cornils. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Minister Jon Riley officiating.
