Michael Eugene Embry

Michael Eugene Embry, age 71, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 10:06 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital.

Michael was born October 23, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to Earl Eugene “Gene” and Fay (Hill) Embry. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1967 and was a Veteran in the United States Naval Reserves. Michael attended City Church and retired from the maintenance department after working for more than 25 years at Alcoa. He was an avid IU fan, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Michael enjoyed spending time with family. He was a family man and was loved by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Misty (Thomas) Embry; son, Jon Embry (Mindi); daughter, Carrie Embry (Mark Smith); son, Joshua Embry; granddaughters, Tessa Embry and Brooke Embry; mother, Fay Embry; and brothers, Mark Embry and Roger Embry.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Gene Embry; and his brother, Gary Embry.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.  

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
