Michael Eugene House

Michael Eugene House, age 73, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville, with his family by his side.

Michael was born January 28, 1951, in Evansville, IN, and graduated from Central High School in 1969. He was a Retired United States Marine, serving for twenty years in Supply Administration. Michael later worked as a Field Technician for Standard Laboratories twenty years before retiring a second time. Michael was known as the Karaoke King throughout the town; his favorite place was the Hoosier Lounge at the Boat. He loved his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Charmain (Titus) House; mother, Grace (House) Simmons; daughter, Rhonda Meuth (Jeremy); sons, Jeff House, Greg House, and Shaun Wassel; twin brothers, Huebert Jr. and Herbert Simmons; two more brothers, Donald Simmons and Terry Sanders; grandchildren, Devin, Hayden, Ian, Lilly, Ava, Avanly, Katie, Delaney, Delilah, and Darcy; and great grandchildren, Evelyn and Emerson, and two on the way.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Huebert Simmons.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN. The River Cities DET 1090 of the Marine Corp League NEW will begin with a Pinning Service, the American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will render full military rites, and Pastor Kris Holzmeyer will officiate. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, July 19, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
