Michael David Joest

Michael David Joest, age 46, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Michael was born March 15, 1977, in Beech Grove, IN, to David Robert and Roberta (Pastor) Joest. He graduated from Central High School and was a member of Well Spring Church of the Nazarene. Michael worked as a Production Worker for American Window and Glass. He enjoyed being outdoors, doing Yoga, operating remote control cars, reading, and spending time with his kids. Michael was a wonderful husband and father.

Michael is survived by his parents, David and Roberta Joest; loving wife of 20 years, Michelle (Smith) Joest; children, Tyler Joest and Abigale Joest; sister, Kelly Joest; brothers, Kevin Joest and Eric Joest; mother-in-law, Loretta Smith; brother-in-law, Matthew Smith (Kayla); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Marianna Joest; grandmother, Romona Pastor; and brother, Alexander Joest.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Chet Todd officiating. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
