Michael Minnette

Michael O. Minnette, age 74, of Evansville, IN, passed away on December 30, 2022, at home.                                                  
Michael was born May 28,1948, in Evansville, IN, to Richard and Ruth (Hartz) Minnette.  He retired from Whirlpool Corporation where he worked in production. He also worked as an assistant groundskeeper at Howell and Wesselman Parks Golf Course. Michael loved bird watching, hunting, camping, and fishing.  He was a collector of various items, including McDonald’s toys, coins, spoons and baseball cards. Michael was a member of Local 808-IBE-AFL and Sons of American Legion.

Michael is survived by his wife, Debbie Minnette (Doubler); brother, Richard Minnette II (Ann); sister, Beth Ann Snipes; and brothers-in-law, Keith Doubler and Tony Doubler; nieces, Teresa, Julie, Sarah Beth, Erin, Amber, and Chelse; nephews, John Paul, Kent, Craig and Nathan; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tammie Sweeden.

Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2023, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Rd., Evansville, IN, 47715, with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Children’s Tuition Fund.
