Michael A. Young

Michael A. Young, age 75, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:06 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Heart to Heart Hospice Inpatient Center.

Mike was born April 24, 1947, in Evansville, IN, to the late Ralph Amos and Ruth (Polley) Young. He graduated from North High School in 1965 with the Honors of Mr. North. Mike was of the Christian faith and was a Veteran in the United States Marine Corps where he served during the Vietnam War. He worked at Inland Container for 40 years before retiring in 2009. Mike’s greatest passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed metal detecting, gold panning, and gemstoning in the mountains and in Colorado.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol A. (Toole) Young; son, Michael C. Young (Gina) and Todd A. Young; beloved grandchildren, Alix Nobles Cox and Jade Kathleen Young; sisters, Mischelle Rayshell and Teresa West; and many beloved nephews and nieces.

Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery.
