Mildred P. Whitledge, age 94, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at home.
Mildred was born December 23, 1925, in Evansville, IN, to Chester and Minnie Dehl (Klaus) Whitledge. She graduated from Central High School in 1941. Mildred was a member of Central United Methodist Church, and she retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company. She enjoyed doing volunteer work included American Red Cross, delivery for Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry, and reading for the seeing impaired. Mildred was an avid Indiana University Basketball fan and an avid Evansville University Lady Aces Basketball fan and Booster. She also enjoyed attending the Evansville Braves, Evansville Tripletts, and Evansville Otters Baseball games at Historic Bosse Field. Mildred was the biggest St. Louis Cardinals fan Evansville, IN, ever knew. She saw games at all of the Busch Stadiums.
Mildred is survived by her nephews, Richard Jones, Brian Whitledge and Ron Whitledge; great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth; and brothers, James and Paul.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Dewey Miller officiating.
