Molly Hester Obituary

Molly Gay (Dale) Hester, 82, of Evansville, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She worked for The Baby Shop for 49 years, retiring as assistant buyer and saleswoman.

She was a graduate of Bosse High School.

She was a 36-year member of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Women’s Missionary League. She played piano and sang for the Eastside Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are two daughters, Toni Chapman of Columbia, Tenn., and Shirley Baggett of Clarksville, Tenn.; two stepsons, Thomas A. Jr. of Cahokia, Illinois., and Gary of Burke, Va.; 12 step- grandchildren; 19 step great-grandchildren; and caregivers Yvonne Epps, George and Anna Boyles, Jean Rudy and Sandy Fowler.

Her husband, Thomas A., died in 1991.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Revs. Robert Schneider and Allan Pollock officiating, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
