Myrtle (McNeely) Huddleston

Myrtle (McNeely) Huddleston, age 91, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at home.

Myrtle was born May 18, 1932, in Calvertville, IN, to Leo and Stella (Laubner) McNeely. She graduated from Worthington Jefferson High School in 1950. Myrtle was a long-time member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ, where she cleaned and kept it tidy since its opening. It was a personal endeavor of hers to keep the beautiful church upstanding. Myrtle was a loving wife, mother, and doting grandmother.

Myrtle is survived by her sons; Steve Huddleston (Carol) and Randy Huddleston (Rhonda); sisters, Melda Stinebaugh and Helen Carrell; grandchildren, Rachel Huddleston, Hannah Huddleston and Jonathan Huddleston.

Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 23 years, Joe M. Huddleston in 1975; sister, Rachel Hamilton; and brothers, Eugene, Junior, Clifford, Leo and Leon McNeely.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Alan Bush officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
