Myrtle Sue Underhill Obituary

Myrtle Sue (McCormick) Underhill, age 86, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Sue was born February 2, 1934, in Ashbyburg, KY, to Leonard and Agnes (Berrong) McCormick. She graduated from High School in Hanson, KY, in 1952 and worked as a Press Operator for Bernardin Bottling Company, now known as Seal-Can Bottling Company. Sue was a member of Living Word Christian Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her sons, David Underhill (Joanie) of Newburgh and Gilbert Underhill (Pamela) of Evansville, grandchildren, Austin Underhill, Arrick Underhill (Minjung), Jayme Underhill, Jared Moore (Wendy), and Janice Heinlin (Randy), 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Thalia Deason (J R); brother, Rick McCormick (Judy); and many loving nieces and nephews.

Sue is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Roman Wayne Underhill, who passed away in 2013; her parents, Leonard and Agnes McCormick; son, Randall Wayne Underhill; daughter-in-law, Jackie Underhill; sisters, Pauline Harbison, Elsie Chamberlain, Linda Lindsey, and Anna McCormick; and brother, J.L. McCormick.

Private Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Mike Claypool officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
