Nancy F. (Calvert) Kinkade

Nancy F. (Calvert) Kinkade, age 87, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 9:16 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Evansville, IN. A celebration was held in heaven as she passed on the eve of her 88th birthday!

Nancy was born December 18, 1933 in Robinson, Illinois to Jesse and Kathryn (Hale) Calvert. She graduated from Olney Township High School in 1952. Nancy married Don E. Kinkade on March 26, 1955 in Olney, IL. And they were married for 53 years. She attended Living Word Christian Church and belonged to the Red Hat Society. She retired as a Program Consultant Aide with Service for Crippled Children in Illinois. Nancy was on the Resident Council for the Wyndmoor of Evansville, where she resided since February 2020. The family would like to thank the Wyndmoor staff and residents for all the loving friendships she made there.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Amy Hortin (Phillip) and Linda Kinkade-Bottorff (Craig); sister, Kathryn Erlene (Ray) Friend; grandchildren, Spencer Smith, Evan Bottorff, and Rachel Secaur (Aaron).

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Kinkade; brother, Larry Calvert.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Aaron Secaur officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
