Nathan Thomas Snyder, age 14, of Newburgh, IN, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 9, 2026.
Nathan was born January 10, 2012, in Newburgh, IN to Stephen and Amanda (Miller) Snyder. Anyone who knew Nathan, knew he was a big personality with an even bigger heart. He loved big and felt everything in big ways. Nathan loved his family and friends very much. He loved his church and loved the Lord.
Once when Nathan was five, he took a walk with his family down a trail at Angel Mounds. Every so often he would stop and use a stick to draw a cross in the dirt. Then he would walk a little further and draw another one. When asked what he was doing he replied, “I’m drawing crosses in the dirt so people can find Jesus.”
Nathan was saved last year. He asked Christ to forgive his sin, come into his heart, and be his Savior. He knew that when he died, he would be in heaven with the Lord. He believed God called him to preach and he preached his first sermon several months ago. He wasn’t perfect but he was forgiven and a child of God.
Although he met the Lord sooner than expected, he was able to lead others to Christ and his legacy will continue to point others towards Jesus.
Psalm 145:17 “The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.”
Nathan is survived by his loving parents; siblings, Daniel, Phebe, Caleb, Andrew, and Chloe; paternal grandmother, Donna Snyder; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Nathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Snyder; and maternal grandparents, Douglas and Dianne Miller.
