Norma Duvall Obituary

Norma Jean (Nance) Duvall, age 79, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Heart to Heart Hospice Inpatient Center.

Norma was born December 1, 1944, in Evansville, IN, to Haran L. and Mildred Thelma (Wall) Nance. She was a 1962 graduate of Bosse High School and long-time member of First Conservative Baptist Church, now Heritage Baptist Church. Norma was a Civil Servant since she was 18, being employed with the Draft Board, the VA Clinic, was a Secretary for the Governor of TX, and retired from the Social Security Administration as a Service Representative after 25 years of service. She was a member of No Ruz Grotto Ladies Auxilary and Daughters of the Nile since 1997. Norma enjoyed gardening and being a hostess for family gatherings, and she especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Tenison (Doug) and Lori Hunt (Jason); stepdaughter, Beth Duvall; brother, Richard Nance (Beverly); grandchildren, Rachel Williams (Johnny), Billy Schaefer, Chase Knight, Shelby Knight, and Michael Fulkerson (Emma); and great grandchildren, Kennedi, Kimberly, and Abigail.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 20 years, William “Bill” Duvall, who passed away in 2017; and son, Brad Fulkerson, who passed away in 2019.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Alan Jackson officiating and a walk-through performed by Daughters of the Nile. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 8:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, April 22, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
