In 1986, they began construction on the 265 site Wagon Wheel RV Park. Norma and George also began development of a 92-acre subdivision in Clyde NC known as Wesley Creek Estates where they vacationed in the summers. Upon George’s passing, Norma moved to Evansville IN to live with her niece, Greta Jackson. She really enjoyed interacting with Greta and Steve’s 12 grandkids and lived there for 11 years.

Norma loved and served the lord. She attended Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church in Clyde NC and Centenary United Methodist Church in Evansville, IN. She loved to sing and directed and sang in church choirs all of her life. She was always willing to perform special church solos.

She was a diligent worker of Hardee County Chamber of Commerce while living in Florida. She also was very active in helping with Good neighbors Club at Centenary UMC serving meals and decorating tables. She really enjoyed playing Rummicube once a week with friends.
