Norma Todd Obituary

Norma Lilly Todd, age 71, was born Sept 5, 1950 in Providence, RI, the oldest child of Norman Victor Todd and Dorothy Alfreda (Sexton) Todd. She passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 in Evansville, IN., at the River Point Health Campus, Evansville, IN.

She was raised in Cranston RI, graduating from Cranston High School East in 1968 and Rhode Island College in 1972 with a B.S. in Education.

She worked for Pier One Imports for 18 years, a job that took her to Evansville as manager in 1973. In 1981, she was honored at the company’s international headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. as a charter member of the President’s Club and recognized by the store for her outstanding performance record of ten years or more.

Norma then began a second career in church work and worked for Bethel Church for 28 years where she was a member, serving mainly as receptionist, also known as “the person who keeps all things and people straight on the course.” She was very organized and assisted other staff members in their jobs. She was a wonderful listener, prayer warrior, friend, and a master at remembering the names of people she met. Her physical challenges left her unable to walk for many years, but she had amazing determination – very independent and resourceful for doing things on her own, keeping a great sense of humor along the way.

Norma also enjoyed art and crafting – especially making greeting cards to send to friends and family and give as gifts. She loved watching movies and tv series on DVD’s and listening to CD’s at home.

Norma is survived by her brother, David Todd (Lynda) of Bella Vista, AR; nephews, Edward, Chris, and Charles; niece, Sara: as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Edward Todd.

Her family and caregivers wish to thank the wonderful staff at River Pointe Health Campus and Heritage Hospice for their exceptional attention given to Norma during her final weeks/days.

Norma’s journey is complete.  She is free from pain and now rests in the arms of her heavenly Father.  There will be no funeral or visitation per her request.
