Ona Mae Chatmon Obituary

Ona Mae Chatmon, aged 81, of Evansville, IN passed away on May 9th, 2020.

She was the wife of Paul Chatmon (deceased) and mother to Paula Parks and Donnie Chatmon. Mae was born September 1, 1938 in Morgantown, KY to Edward and Exie Andrews.  She loved her family and spoke to friends and family members on the phone daily. Mae proudly worked as a school bus matron for the EVSC for many years and enjoyed shopping trips. 

She is survived by daughter Paula (husband Bob Parks) of Ocala FL, and son Donnie (wife Beth) of Oakland City, IN,  6 Grandchildren- Natalie Caldwell, Kevin Caldwell (wife Maren), Samantha Parks, Sabrina Parks, Tara Evans (husband Jeremy), Travis Chatmon (wife Erika),and 10 Great- Grandchildren - Christian Diehlman, Jordan Costanzo, Kellen and Finleigh Caldwell, Lorelai Parks, Bentley Parks, Lucy, Eleanor, and Benjamin Evans, and Harvey Chatmon, and Siblings-Claude Andrews, Clyde Andrews (Betty Jean), Jack Andrews, Betty Ladewig (Gary), Judy Alford (Roy), Patty Tarrance, Kay Landrum (Anthony), and sister in law Linda Andrews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her parents, brother Eddie Andrews, sister in law, Jean Andrews, and brother in law Ronnie Tarrance.

Private visitation services will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Evansville, IN on Tuesday, May 12th at 9:00am, followed by funeral service at 10:30am. 

Arrangements are being handled by BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.
