Pamela Jane “Pam” Appel, age 72, of Evansville, IN, met her Savior on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Pam was born September 22, 1952, in Evansville, IN, to George Gerald Appel and Virginia (Bates) Wyatt. She graduated from Central High School in 1970. She retired as a Lab Technician from SABIC Plastics, formerly GE Plastics, after 40 years of service. Pam was a charter member of Christian Fellowship Church. She loved her church and had such a warm spirit with a gift for making everyone feel welcome. She loved singing in the church choir and with different groups. Every Tuesday, for the past 40 plus years, she met with her Prayer Partner, Nancy Stocker. Every Friday, Pam loved crocheting with her Busy Hands church group where they would meet to make hats, blankets, stuffed animals, and other items for various organizations. She especially loved crocheting baby blankets; it’s likely that many of her friends and family have at least one. She had a generous heart, quietly putting everyone’s needs above her own.
She loved watching her Hallmark Christmas movies while crocheting or making Christmas candy wreaths. Pam adored her grandchildren; she absolutely loved hosting Grandma Day Camps and picking them up from school whenever she could. She was born to be a Grandma.
Pam is survived by her mother, Virginia Wyatt; sons, Greg Appel (Brooke) and Ben Appel (Allison); sister, Judy Boyle (Jim); brother Terry Appel (Lisa); grandchildren, Avery Appel, Logan Steedman, Elijah Appel, Kelsie Appel, and Patrick Appel; nephews, Sean Appel, Ian Appel, Evan Appel, Andy Boyle, and Dan Boyle; and grand dog, Toby.
Pam is preceded in death by her father, George Appel; stepfather, Joe Wyatt; and great nieces, Alex Appel and Zoe Appel.
