Pamela Sue “Pam” (Roberts) Sandusky, age 75, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 4:21 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at home with family by her side.
Pam was born May 17, 1947, in Evansville, IN, to Glenn T. Roberts and Juanita (Thomas) Roberts. She was a1965 graduate of Bosse High School. Over the past five years she reconnected with her friends, the “Bosse Babes”. They enjoyed getting together for their monthly meetings where they would catch up, have lunch and lots of laughs.
Pam owned and operated Sham Painting for over 40 years. Her dedicated foreman, Tom Ellermann was by her side through the growth of her company. Pam had many customers who became dear friends.
Pam was a dedicated CASA volunteer for over 20 years and served as a lifetime board member. She dedicated many long hours to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of many of our local children.
Pam’s favorite pastime was watching her granddaughter, the love of her life, playing the sports that she loved. You could find Pam on a softball field on any given Saturday or sitting on a bench in a gym watching volleyball. Pam also enjoyed sitting on her back porch listening to nature and watching her dogs play.
Pam was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and especially her cousins.
Pam is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Chuck Hergenrother; daughters, Mindy Middleton – Bittner (Russ) of Darmstadt, IN, and Jennifer Sandusky of Newburgh, IN; granddaughter, Sadie Belle Adkisson; best friends, Shelia Given and Vella Goebel.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Juanita Roberts.
Boone Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Pam Sandusky. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
