Parvin E. Montgomery, age 80, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at home, surrounded by family.
Parvin was born July 31, 1940, in Boonville, IN, to Lawrence W. and Mary E. (Tennyson) Montgomery. He graduated from Boonville High School. Parvin was a Veteran in the United States Navy, and he worked as a pipefitter on both the USS Shenandoah AD-26 from 1959-1961 and the USS Huntington DD-781 from 1958-1959. He was a member of New Horizon Fellowship Church of God and worked for forty years as a tool and die maker for Whirlpool before retiring in 2003.
Parvin is survived by his daughter, Yvetta Berry (Kenneth) of Evansville; Timothy Montgomery of Indianapolis; Steve Montgomery (Machelle) of Plainfield; daughter-in-law, Sherry Smith of Boonville; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren with 3 on the way; and sisters, Anna May Hedges of Newburgh and Barbara Miller of Boonville.
Parvin is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 53 years, Margie Ann (Smith) Montgomery, who passed away in 2016; and sister, Naomi Bratcher.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021, at New Horizon Fellowship Church of God at 1518 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Reverend Carl Mann, II and Reverend Eddie Carroll officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
