Patricia A. (Tyree) Smith

Patricia A. “Pat” (Tyree) Smith, age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.

Pat was born October 22, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to Elmer and Betty (Ditzer) Tyree. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1966.  Pat was a secretary in Human Resources for EVSC for over 20 years. Pat most recently attended Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She loved beautiful things, especially flowers. Pat enjoyed singing, dancing and shopping. She sang in the church choir in her younger years, and loved karaoke in her later years. Pat enjoyed listening and singing to the Oldies, Gospel, and Christian music. She was an accomplished singer, who had the pleasure to accompany Sandi Patty during an intermission at a concert in Evansville. Pat loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very involved in her church and loved attending Bible Study.

Pat is survived by her son, David Smith (Brittney); daughters,  Christina Smith and Angela Conley (Ryan); significant other, Jack Davis; sister, Carol Duckworth (Shawn); brother, Michael Tyree; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Betty Tyree; husband, Donald R. Smith; and sister, Nancy Tyree.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Dave Schwambach officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, July 24, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
