Paul “Fred” Scheessele, age 73, of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at home.
Fred was born December 8, 1952, in Evansville, to the late Frederick J. and Anna Louise (Johnson) Scheessele. He proudly served his country in the United States Army 82nd Engineers. He received his Associates degree from Ivy Tech in 1985. Fred was a welder for Internation Steel and a custodian for EVSC for 23 years. He loved animals and was a handyman. Fred was also a talented woodworker.
Fred is survived by his sisters, Louise Elpers (Richard) and Lois Scheessele; special friends, Scott Parsons and Bob Wampler; and 4-legged children, Karley and Zak; and a host of loving cousins.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 49 years, Karyle (Kleitz) Scheessele; sister, Jan; and 4-legged children, Muff, J.P., Samantha, and Cassie Hope.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be in St. Rupert’s Catholic Cemetery, Yankeetown, IN.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
