Pauline Kincaid Obituary

Pauline (Tieman) Kincaid, age 77, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 3:14 p.m. on Thursday February 13, 2020, at home, surrounded by her family.

Pauline was born November 17, 1942, near Chandler, IN, to George and Helen (Fisher) Tieman. She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1960. At the age of 18, she married Robert Kincaid, age 24, on July 7, 1961, in Newburgh. She and her husband, Bob, left the Newburgh area in September of 1961 to move to Frankfort, KY, to follow his career in broadcasting. They had the children, Lisa in 1962 and Kevin in 1964. They lived in Frankfort, KY, for 3 years, Delaware, OH, for 6 years, Greensburg, IN, for 16 years, and Shelbyville, IL, for 2 years where the two owned and operated the local radio station. Pauline, Bob, and the children had a great enjoyment for traveling, and they did a lot of it. A few of Pauline’s favorite hobbies included sewing and working puzzles. Pauline had the capabilities to do almost anything, and whatever it was, she always did it well. After returning to the local area in 1989, Pauline was employed at Lazarus and later at T.J. Maxx for 20 years.

Pauline was an attractive lady, very intelligent, energetic, and she gave it her all in everything she was involved with. According to Bob, the two met through the Coral Inn Drive-In Restaurant where Pauline worked as a Car Hop in the spring of 1961. Bob says, “I can’t imagine what my life would have been without her.”

Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert “Bob” Kincaid; daughter, Lisa Fahrlander (Randy); granddaughters, Elizabeth, Molly, Sally, and Emily Fahrlander; sister, Patsy Meredith (Owen); and brother, Paul Tieman (Gloria).

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Kevin Kincaid, who passed away in March 2009, at the age of 44.
