Peggy A. (Meyer) White

Peggy A. White, age 81, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Peggy was born April 9, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to William Leroy and Sarah Elizabeth (Mayton) Meyer. She graduated from Central High School in 1955 and was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Peggy retired from Sears in 1995.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Winsett (Gary) of Jacksonville, FL; son, Gerald L. “Jerry” Smith (Randa) of Evansville; stepdaughters, Rebecca “Becky” Lawrence of Greenville, IN and Karen Stogner (Chuck) of Evansville; stepsons, John T. White and Lee “Pete” White, both of Evansville; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and 18 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 32 years, Raymond W. White, on December 2, 2018; sister, Bonnie Fay Brown; and brothers, Bobby, Donald, and Gary Meyer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Mark Sirnic officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.  

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
