Pennie Lynn (Lagle) Bartlett

Pennie Lynn (Lagle) Bartlett, age 55, of Rockport, IN, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 5, 2026, surrounded by family.

Pennie was born May 26, 1970, in Evansville, IN, to Dannie and Donna (Harberson) Lagle. She graduated from Castle High School in 1988. Pennie loved spending time with her family and raising her children. She proudly owned Miss Pennie’s Child Care for many years, where she touched many lives. Pennie adored her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “MiMi” and “Momma Pennie”. She was an avid IU basketball fan. Pennie also loved vacationing to the beach. She enjoyed feeding the deer in her backyard, her wiener dogs, game nights, especially playing ‘What’s That Meme’, sleepovers with her Mommy, camping, Disney movies, and lazy Sunday snuggles. Pennie was a social butterfly who never met a stranger.

Pennie is survived by her mother, Donna Lagle; husband, Jeremy Bartlett; daughters, Dannie Sander (Jett) and Sophie Bartlett; sons, Alex Grisham (Natasha), Justin Grisham, and Jacob Bartlett; sister, Joy Harrison (Joe); grandchildren, Stella, Piper, Autumn, and Madison; and many nieces and nephews.

Pennie is preceded in death by her father, Dannie Lagle; and sister, Sheena Krebsbach.                                                                 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be private for immediate family.

If possible, the family is requesting that people wear pink in Pennie’s honor.
