Pete Russell

Peter M. “Pete” Russell also known as J. Smiles, age 43, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020.

Pete was born at Hahn Airforce Base in Germany, to Ronald A. Russell (Connie) and Terrie K. (Eakins) Russell. He was one of the best tree trimmers in Vanderburgh County. Pete attended Northwoods Church. Pete loved spending time with his friends and family but most importantly his two beautiful girls.

Pete is survived by his parents; stepmother, Connie Russell; grandmother, Lucy Eakins; daughters, Emjay Russell and Lennon Russell; brother, Bill Russell (Melissa); sister, Melinda Pottorff (Dustin); niece, Alyssa Russell; nephews, Steven Knight, Brandon Russell, Avery Russell, Brian Russell, Braydon, and DJ Pottorff.

Pete is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Eakins; grandmother, Mary Jane Russell; aunt, Carolyn Morer; and cousin, Nathan Shcroer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Brian Turpin officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020, and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Monday, November 30, 2020 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
