Phyllis Ann (Ricketts) Ridenour, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at home with her family by her side.
Phyllis was born June 30, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, IN, to Malcom and Dorothy (Poole) Ricketts. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. Phyllis was a Breast Cancer Survivor. She loved Country Music, visiting the Boat for socializing and playing her games, and she especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family has comfort in knowing that she is at peace with her loved ones.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Dawn Arnold (Michael Boyd), Myra Brock (James), Larry Joe Ridenour (Kay); grandchildren, Lilian White (Kenneth), Winter Nelson, Silver Nelson, Cheyenne Brock, Dexter Cantrell (Samantha), Boe Cantrell, Savanna Nelson (Trevor), Kayla Emery (Scottie); great grandchildren, Hayle, Kyle, Chloe, Logan, Cabella, Oaklyn, River, and Dallas; sisters, Kathy Neil (Graham), Janet Ricketts, and Lana Williams (Cabell); brothers, Malcolm “June Bug” Ricketts (Charlotte), Randy Ricketts, and Jeff Ricketts (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Norma Savoie (Bobby), Rinda Bowen, Ronnie Ricketts, Larry Ricketts, Terry Ricketts; and son-in-law, James “Jim” Arnold.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and Burial will be Private in Bellefontaine Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, IN.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her AseraCare Hospice team and Dr. Jon Hall for their excellent care and compassion and a special thank you to Mary Beck, her caretaker, for everything she has done to help with Phyllis’ care.
