Reverend Dr. Larry Thomas Crowe

Reverend Dr. Larry Thomas Crowe, age 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Larry was born September 2, 1943, in Owensboro, KY, to Woodrow Berry and Hazel Gladys (Kirk) Crowe. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1961. Larry then graduated from Oakland City College and later was a professor at Oakland City University for 22 years. He also attended Southeastern Seminary and finished with a Doctorate from Indiana University. Larry was in the ministry for over 50 years, during which he touched many lives through his service to God and love for others. Larry developed the concept of GMM (God, Man, Man) for his students.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Martha Sue (Smith) Crowe; sons, Jeff Crowe (Becky) and Eric Crowe (Diana); sister, Gladys Boone; brother, Buck Crowe (Joan); grandchildren, Ashley Tucker (Robert), Andrew Crowe (Katie), Timothy Crowe; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly Betz and Linda Taylor.

A Family Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 7, 2020, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL– A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jeff Crowe officiating.
