Richard E. Reinhart

Richard E. Reinhart, age 72, of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Richard was born May 13, 1951, in Evansville, IN, to the late Lester and Helen Reinhart. He graduated from North High School and worked as a Truck Driver. Richard was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and was a member of VFW Post 1144. He enjoyed reading, doing home repairs, watching football, riding motorcycles, watching Sprint Car Racing, and attending Tri State Speedway Races with his son.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Pennie (Dodd) Reinhart; son, Dereck Reinhart; sisters-in-law, Lee Wire (Bob), Karen Phillips, and Sandy Moody; brother-in-law, Ron Dodd (Lynda); sisters, Jackie and Judy; and brother, Larry and Bill.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, IN. Pastor Steven Russ will be officiating and the American Legion Kapperman Post will render full military rites.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home. The Retired Marine Corps League will perform a Military Pinning Service at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, May 19, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
