Richard “Rick” S. Witte, age 72, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Heart to Heart Hospice House.
Rick was born June 30, 1953, in Dale, IN, to the late Richard “Gail” Witte and Doris “Jean” (Barger) Witte. He graduated from Dale High School in 1971 and graduated from Indiana University in 1975 where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Rick spent his career working in the banking industry. He retired from First Federal Bank as the Vice President of Internal Affairs. He was an extremely gifted musician and could play a multitude of instruments. Rick directed the Sweet Adelines Chorus and sang in the Barber Shop Chorus and in Barber Shop Quartets. He even wrote the Heritage Hills school song. Rick was a longtime member of Christian Fellowship Church where he sang in the choir and taught Bible study in the Upper Room class. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family, and spreading his humor.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Regina (Schroeder) Witte; daughter, Galina Witte; son, Jacob Witte; sisters, Vikki Reiter (Mike) and Sarah Neighbors (Kenny); nieces, Elana Epple, Jade Russell, and Autumn Murray; nephew, Jon Myers; and beloved dog, Tiger.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Road, Evansville, IN with Pastor Dale Beaver officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery in Dale, IN.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Church.
